PIQUANT GmbH was founded in Cologne in 2013. Its headquarters are located at the Rheinauhafen.
From the very beginning PIQUANT GmbH offers high quality IT-consulting.
Since the foundation of the company, PIQUANT GmbH advises many companies in the areas of Cloud, Collaboration Software, SW development and testing, Service Management, IT Security and IT Architecture and supports them actively during the realization.
All projects were completed with the highest customer satisfaction. Certifications and constant updating of knowledge about standards as well as methods and guidelines are among the main features of the company philosophy.
All PIQUANT employees have to prove corresponding certifications as well as methodological knowledge (ITIL, Scrum, Kanban etc.) before they start working in the consulting business.

The founder, Dr. Barut, is a former certified IBM Managing Consultant. During his career at IBM, he has advised many national and international companies in Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, Turkey and the USA and actively supported them in their IT projects in various projects.
Among his clients were Credit Suisse, UBS Bank, Winterthur, Novartis, Merck Serono, in Switzerland in particular.
Dr. Barut was also an accredited educator at the IBM Education Center and has delivered over hundreds of training courses worldwide on behalf of IBM.
Our team consists of a heterogeneous mixture of experienced computer scientists, trainees and student assistants. With our employees we maintain a trustful and friendly atmosphere in which everyone enjoys working. We also attach great importance to further education and training so that we can always find a solution to any problem. The satisfaction of our customers is our top priority. We treat each project / customer individually and work as efficiently as possible. Friendly, committed, qualified and motivated is our character.
The company logo is a combination of the mathematical number "Pi", the physical term "quantum" and a rising dove of peace. The combination of "Pi" and "Quant" symbolizes how the undiscovered fields of science and the knowledge already acquired come together. PIQUANT means to stay curious and discover the undiscovered, to reach new horizons and to create new innovations every day. We know that innovation and science are not always used with good intentions. The white dove on our logo is a symbol of peace and part of our philosophy: We reach new horizons - with good intentions.
